Patrolman Herman F. Harms

January 25, 1925

Patrolman Herman Harms, while on foot patrol, died after being shot by an unidentified person near the Wabash Avenue River Bridge. Two months later a 22-year-old, arrested for grand larceny and robbery, was charged with his murder, but there was never enough evidence to convict him.

Patrolman Harms had served with the Terre Haute Police Department for less than five weeks.
